We offer you a wide variety of half-day or day trip destinations. We start these excursions from Marrakesh or Ouarzazate in 4WD vehicles or minibuses.
We leave for the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n' Tichka pass (2,260 m), the highest pass in Morocco and come directly to the Draa valley. We finally arrive in Ouarzazate, famous for its Kasbah which is a fortress and palace at the same time and which rulers used in former times to establish their control over the region. Visit of the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, UNESCO world cultural heritage as well as the Taourirt kasbah, former residence of the pacha "EL GLAOUI". Full-day with lunch.
In former times called Mogador, Essaouira has been influenced by many different peoples, from the Romans to the Portuguese and not to forget by the Arabs and the Berber people. Because of the history, the city keeps beautiful vestiges from these people in the form of monuments or the inhabitants' traditions. We explore the Medina and Portuguese fortresses from the XVIII century. We continue our trip to an Argan forest, a tree which only exists in this area. We eat one of the famous fish dishes and return to Marrakesh.
We explore the most exotic region: The Ourika valley. A landscape of gardens and plants, marvelous fortresses and original villages offer a great variety of colors. We enter one of the picturesque Berber villages with terraced houses planted along the river which gives the valley its name. We visit one of the markets and enter a Berber house. A perfect chance to learn how to prepare a real Moroccan tea. Return to Marrakesh.
From Marrakesh, we leave early in the morning to the Ouzoud waterfalls, situated about 160 km from Marrakesh. We enjoy a full day at the water falls, where we can discover water levels as high as 100 m. In the morning we visit the traditional and historic water mills, before we enjoy a delicious meal in a restaurant overlooking the water falls. In the afternoon, return to Marrakesh.
The Marrakesh palm grove counts over 100,000 trees, most of them palm trees extending over a surface of more than 15,000 hectar. The palm grove's story goes back to the XII century, where the Almoravide dynasty established their power in Marrakesh. The Marrakesh palm grove was created by rulers from Berber origin. We go on a camel trip for half an hour to the heart of the palm grove and refresh ourselves with a soft drink or drink at Nikki Beach. At night we take our dinner at the restaurant Le Comptoir.
Situated at the feet of the Atlas Mountains with red walls and a beautiful palm grove, Marrakesh is a magical and supernatural place. We learn more about its history by passing by the ancient monuments and buildings in the city: The Majorelle gardens, the Koutoubia Minaret (precious gem of Islamic architecture) and the Saadian tombs (mausoleums dating back to the XVI century). We cross the small streets and come to the aristocratic Bahia palace; free afternoon in Marrakesh.
